07.22.17 - Morgan has a young face with a sturdy, still-developing frame at 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. The rising junior doesn't waste any time going about his business on the mound. He works from a high-¾ slot with a quick arm stroke from back to front. Up tempo delivery with an athletic lower half and aggressive energy down the mound. His fastball sat mostly right at 84 mph, only dipping down a couple times to 82 and 83, and topping out once at 85 mph. He is able to create angle on the pitch to his glove side, which should prove beneficial as he continues to mature. His change has some depth and arm-side fade as he does a nice job of maintaining arm speed and releasing out front. His curveball is inconsistent right now at 67 mph, but shows decent 11-5 shape and some downward bite.

06.13.17 - 5-foot-11, 170-pound, sturdy, still developing frame with a young face. The right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a medium, quick, loose arm stroke and an up-tempo, drop and drive delivery. Good rhythm and energy as he gets down the mound with his lower half landing closed. His fastball was 82-83 mph with a clean release as his arm works well from back to front. Morgan tends to cast his breaking ball at 63 mph and gradual break, look for that pitch to tighten up as he continues to develop. His changeup was 74 mph with some fade to his arm side. Morgan has outstanding presence on the mound and works quickly between pitches.
