Strong athletic frame with room for more. Has a deliberate, build up style delivery with higher leg kick and smooth lower half. Has a shorter arm action throwing from a high three quarter slot. Hides ball well against hitters. Pitches with regular effort. Fastball had slight run on the pitch up to 81 mph. Breaking ball had 1/7 shape with gradual break up to 71 mph. Hits from an athletic set up. Short swing with quick hands at the plate. Gap to gap type hitter.

Preseason All-State II

Foley is 6-1 with a strong athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, short leg kick stride on line, smooth load back, hips rotate completely and violently, has good balance during his swing. Keeps hands inside ball, short and quick to ball, strong at contact with extension through the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, showed good approach working gap to gap, swing creates carry in the gaps, has doubles power, exit velocity was 90. In the outfield, rounds ball and fields with average hands. Works through ball, clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, short loose action, position velocity was 85. Ran a 4.27 home to first. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot with shorter loose arm action that is quick and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are on line and uphill, lands on line with an athletic finish. Fastball was 79-83 with some boring action to armside. Curveball was 70-72 with late 1/7 break and good armspeed. Change-up was 77-78 with good armspeed and some late life.

Foley is 6-1 with a lankier athletic frame with a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced upright stance, short leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a wrap, good quiet rhythm to his swing. Explosive lower half and some balance to his swing. Fast bat, gets to contact quickly, good extension through the ball, level to contact and then uphill through it, whippy bat. Line drive swing with power potential, exit velocity was 90. In the outfield, got behind the ball and fielded it with above average hands, clean exchange working through it to throw from a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action. Outfield velocity was 82, ran a 4.33 home to first. On the mound, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short loose arm action that is quick, throws with some effort to his delivery. Shoulders uphill and closed, lands on line with a slight fall off at finish. Fastball was 77-79, touching 80 with downward plane and late run to it. Change-up was 74-75 with good armspeed and late run to it. Curveball was 67-69 with sharp 1/7 break to it and some armspeed.
