Roberts has a strong athletic frame, built like a first baseman but moves like an outfielder. Plays fast, quick first step. Hits from the left side at the plate, balanced athletic stance. Short stride on line, short load back, quiet simple set up to swing. Hips are quick but don't get a full rotation, very good firm base and balance. Has a longer path but a quick bat, can keep hands inside, gets barrel to contact on time. Works uphill with extension through the ball, showed power to all fields with home run power to his pull side. Patient approach at the plate, used who field in game. Arm showed some carry during pre-game, hitting 87, and his one in-game throw was very accurate.
