3.10.16:  Amos is an athletic two-way player. At short, he has soft hands and good range. He has a quick release and a strong arm. At the plate, Amos hits from an athletic stance. He has a leg kick stride and a slight load back. He has an explosive lower half and maintains balance throughout his swing. He has quick hands and is very short to the ball with good extension through it. He showed good pitch selection and gap power during the game. On the mound, Amos throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short, quick arm action that generates velocity with some effort. His shoulders are uphill and on line as he strides out to a square landing before coming to an athletic finish. His fastball has decent plane and slight late run and he sat 86-87, touching 88. His curveball had sharp 11/5 break and ran 74-76. He got on the side of one that had more 10/4 bite. 
11/8/2014:  Amos has an athletic 5-foot-10 frame and is also a very good infielder. He throws over the top and has a quick arm that generates easy velocity. He has a smooth rhythm and very clean, simple mechanics. Amos’ fastball sat 84-86 on the day and touched 87. He showed the ability to cut it and sink it late. Amos threw and outstanding overhand curveball with sharp downward break and full armspeed (73-76). He also showed a good change-up that sat 78 with late sinking action. Overall, Amos’ command of all three pitches was outstanding from the wind-up. At the plate, hits from a balanced athletic stance with high hands. Has a smooth load back and a leg kick.  Explosive lower half, with quick hands, short swing, and gets extensions. Leverage in swing, creates backspin, drives ball. Has an exit velocity of 90 mph off of the tee. In the field, has good feet, soft hands, and a slightly above average arm with 83 mph position and velocity. Smooth actions, plays through the baseball and has clean exchanges.
