Preseason All-State II

Cuddington is 6-0 with strong frame. He hits from the right side from an open athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, loads back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely, maintains some balance, keeps hands inside ball, strong contact point, slightly uphill at contact and generates lift to pull side, exit velocity was 84. At first base, moves well, fields with average hands and a wider base, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, infield velocity was 80. On the mound, throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action, normal effort to delivery. Shoulders are level and online, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 80-81 with some late run to armside. Curveball had some armspeed and sharp 12/6 break at 68-70, also showed a slider in the same velocity range with late hard 10/4 break. Changeup was 71-72 with good armspeed and some late sink.

Cuddington has a big strong frame. He hits from the right side, very quick to contact and strong through it, has power to his pull side and his swing has natural loft built into it. On the mound, fastball was 78-81 with late run. Curveball was 67-69 with sharp 11/5 break to it.

Cuddington has a big strong frame. He hits from the right side from a relaxed stance, quick to the ball, uphill swing path with strength at contact and extension through the ball, swing generates carry. Stayed inside during the game and approach was very much gap to gap. Has power and drove the ball a few times. The first swing was a double to center, the third swing a deep sacrifice fly to center, and the final swing in the video was a lineout at the second baseman. Consistent barrel contact the entire game.

Big strong frame at 5-foot-11, 230 pounds. On the mound pitched primarily from the stretch. Consistent balance point before moving down the mound with shoulders level and closed. Lands closed at foot strike with a longer arm circle throwing from a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat at 79-81 mph and showed some arm side run at times. Curveball had a tight 12/6 shape and sat at 68-69 mph. Slider was hard at 70-73 with present arm speed and a late 11/5 break. Stance is open and upright hitting from the right side. Hands show some rhythm and load back with a slight bat wrap. Small pick up and put down to striding on line. Displayed ability to pull hands in and get through the zone quick with some uphill tilt with an exit velocity of 86 mph. Active feet on approach with solid glove presentation catching ball out front. Short arm action throwing from a three-quarter arm slot across the field at 77 mph. Home-1st time was 4.77.
