McComber has grown into his solid athletic frame and stands around 5-foot-9/5-foot-10. Staggered stance from the windup and moves to a high repeatable balance point before getting down the mound driving off of the backside. Level shoulders and lands on line at foot strike. Short quick arm from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball was 74-77 mph and touched 78-79 mph a few times with some arm side run. Curveball had 1/7 shape and McComber showed an above average feel for the breaker and it appeared to be his out pitch. Changeup had some late fade at 68 mph. McComber possesses some athleticism on the mound and comes at hitters. He will continue to grow into the frame and that should allow the velocity to tick up some.

McComber is 5-8 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, longer free arm action with normal effort. Shoulders uphill and on line, lands on line with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 71-73 with downward plane and boring action to it. Curveball was 71-73 with 1/7 break and some armspeed. Showed a slider in warmups with some armspeed and downer break. Also showed a change-up with some armspeed and sink to it.
