Nowlin is 5-6 with a compact athletic 150 pound frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, short leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with some strength at contact, showed a good approach working gap to gap, extra base power present in the alleys, exit velocity was 90. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with a good wide base and average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 78. Ran a 7.05 60 yard dash.
Preseason All-State II
Nowlin is 5-5 with an athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, no load. Hips rotate and he maintains some lower half balance. Keeps hands inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing with a strong contact point, exit velocity was 81. In the infield, active feet, rounds the ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands. Clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters slot, velocity was 76. Ran a 4.32 home to first.
