Knox stands at 5-foot-11, 175-pounds with an athletic frame. On the mound Knox is one of the best command arms in the state. He attacks hitters, can expand a strike zone, and works at a quick pace. The delivery has normal effort and builds pace. It is a longer hand break and arm swing, high three-quarter arm slot, and has arm speed present on all pitches. Moves the 87-88 mph fastball around at will. Showed two breaking balls, a curveball at 73-74 mph and a slider at 77-80 mph. Displayed ability to throw both for strikes. The curveball had a more gradual break and was a solid early strike count pitch, while the slider had finishing ability with tight late shape.

Knox is 5-11 with an athletic frame that has some room left to add strength. He throws from a three-quarters arm slot, longer free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Fastball was 83-87, touching 88, pitch has heavy armside run with depth at lower end of that range and flattens out at the top. Shows command at the lower end. Curveball was 71 with some armspeed and sharp 11/5 break, only threw it a handful of times. He entered the game in relief with two on and was throwing with high effort, fastball sat 87, touching 88 once during that stretch. When working with a clean inning, he was more smooth and easier with his effort and worked 83-85, touching 86, with a lot of life and showing very good command of his fastball.

Knox has an athletic 5-foot-11 frame with some lean strength present. Knox moves really well on the mound. Normal effort in the delivery and works with a slower pace during the delivery. Arm action was full and loose and threw from a three-quarter slot with arm speed through release. Knox showed more command than control with the fastball to the glove side. Faced a lineup or primarily right handed hitters and lived on the outer third and extended throughout. The fastball came out pretty well and was 83-87 early on, touching 88 mph twice. Settled in at 83-86 after the first and was 80-83 into the seventh inning. The secondary was used very sparingly and he did not show a great feel for the curveball or slider, but the slider showed really nice shape and arm speed. Landed a curveball for a strike to lead off Newman's first at bat, but the sliders tended to be a little short, especially early on. Long term I think the slider shows the most promise with shape and speed, but he will have to be able to land it for strikes more consistently. Had zero walks in seven innings and did not allow multiple hits in any inning, scattering four throughout. Struck out eight hitters on fastballs throughout the night, including four straight from the fourth to the fifth innings.
