VA/DC PreSeason All-State Central
Neighbor is 6-1 with an athletic 190 pound frame that has some strength present in the lower half and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open taller athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, goes straight to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with some strength at contact and some extension through the ball, showed a good approach working gap to gap, extra base power present in the alleys, exit velocity was 89. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with a wider base and average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from high three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 78. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short loose quick arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with a slight fall off finish and recoil. Fastball was 79-80, with some downward angle and late hard armside run to it. Curveball was 69-72 with good armspeed and gradual 10/4 break with some shape to it. Change-up was 73-75 with good armspeed and heavy fade to it.
