Johnson is 6-2 with a lankier athletic 170 pound frame that has some strength present and a lot of projection left. He hits from the left side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path in the middle of the field gets more uphill to pull side, some strength at contact point and extension through the ball, showed a pull approach predominantly with the ability to use the whole field, gap power to all fields with home run power present to pull side, exit velocity was 92. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with a wider base and average hands, works through the ball with a clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose quick arm action, position velocity was 86. Ran a 7.42 60 yard dash.
