Exum has a 6-foot-3 frame with long limbs and plenty of room to add strength. Is an average in game runner, but shows lateral range at shortstop due to his length. Solid defensively with the athleticism that will allow him to be positionally versatile at the next level. When I saw Exum two years ago the biggest deficit in his game was the offense. Exum has definitely turned the corner with that. I saw him this summer at Lakepoint and he had a strong week offensively. Swing is contact driven with line drive tendencies and uses the whole field. Had two singles and a double on Wednesday. Then jumped on the mound in the seventh sitting 84-86 and touched 87 with the fastball. Really like the upside and versatility to the uncommitted Exum.

Nice athletic frame standing around 6-foot-3 that has plenty of room to add strength and weight. Solid actions at shortstop and showed above average arm strength, but that should get better as he continues to add strength to the frame. Exum's swing is still developing, but showed some oppo power with a leadoff double to right field to start the seventh. Exum should be a name to watch over the next year or so as he looks to be a solid prospect.
