PreSeason All-State East

Genzler is 6-3 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load down and back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, goes straight to the ball, slightly uphill swing path, some strength at contact with extension through the ball, long levers, showed a good approach predominantly working the middle of the field, natural loft built in and some power to all fields with more in the tank, exit velocity was 91. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with average hands, clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, long loose arm action, position velocity was 87. Ran a 7.46 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, long loose quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are level and slightly closed, lands on line with an athletic finish. Fastball was 81-85, with late hard armside run to it that has some depth as well. Curveball was 74-76 with some armspeed and gradual 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 79-80 with good armspeed and heavy fade to it. Slider was 78-79 with good armspeed and late hard 10/4 break.

Genzler is 6-3 with a lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load down. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed primarily a pull approach with some carry in the gaps, exit velocity was 84. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 81. Showed versatility taking balls in the infield where his velocity was 80. Ran a 7.60 60 yard dash. He throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and online, lands open with an athletic finish. Fastball was 81-84, with downward angle and hard late run to armside. Curveball had some armspeed and was 70-71 with sharp 11-5 break that had good shape. Change-up had good armspeed and was 74-76 with late run.

Showed versatility taking balls in the infield where his velocity was 80. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, long free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 77-79, with some run to armside. Curveball had good armspeed and was 68-70 with late gradual 11/5 break and some shape to it. Change-up had good armspeed and was 71-74 with some sink.

Long projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 160-pounds. Starts from a square athletic stance, simple stride forward, and lands on line. Hands load back in rhythm, short to the ball, and displayed some hand and bat speed through the zone. Slightly uphill path and a high finish. Flashed some gap to gap power potential in the swing. Exit velocity was 81 mph.
