6.19.17: Lamon has an athletic frame and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with an extreme drop and drive delivery. Arm is quick, generates velocity with normal effort. Saw him in two starts, in one fastball sat 85-86, in the other he sat 86-88 and touched 89 for the first 4 innings before settling into 85-86 late in the game. Fastball has tail when its down in the zone, flattens out at top, not much plane. Sinking change-up with some armspeed, 76-80. Good armspeed on curveball with sharp 11/5 break at 70.

3.7.16:  Lamon is an athletic righty with a good frame. He has a drop and drive delivery and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short, loose arm action that is quick, generating velocity with some effort. His shoulders are uphill and closed as he strides out to a slightly closed landing before falling off as he finishes. Lamon’s fastball touched 87 and sat 84-86 with good plane and heavy late run. His curveball had late, sharp 11/5 action and sat 71.
11.1.15: Lamon is a big, athletic righty with a projectable frame who throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a smooth drop and drive delivery. His arm action is short and loose and his lightning quick arm generates velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are closed and slightly uphill as he strides out on line to a square landing before falling off a bit as he finishes. Lamon’s fastball had late run and sink and good angle to it, running 84-85 and touching 86. He threw a late, 10/4 breaking slider with decent armspeed that ran 73-74. He also flashed a sinking changeup with decent armspeed that ran 72.
