6.22.17: Fyvie has a lanky frame, throws primarily from a three-quarters arm slot with a long, loose arm action and normal effort. Shoulders are closed and he lands open with an athletic finish. Fastball sat 79-82, touched 84 with some late run to it. Change-up had good armspeed and a bit of run, 75-76. Curveball had sharp 1/7 break at 64-69.

3.17.16:  Fyvie has a lanky frame and throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a smooth drop and drive delivery. He has a long, loose arm action that is quick and generates velocity with some effort. His shoulders are uphill and closed as he strides out to a square landing before falling off as he finishes. Fyvie’s fastball touched 80 and ran 77-79 with late run and plane to it. He commanded it well in and out. His changeup had fading action and good armspeed, running 71. His curveball had gradual 1/7 break and he slowed his arm down a bit on it, with the pitch running 65-66.
1.18.16: Fyvie has a very lanky frame and long arms and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot. He had a good action and his fastball was up to 76-77. His change-up had good armspeed and action.
2.15.15 Fyvie has an athletic frame and throws from a low three-quarters slot. He has a long, loose arm action. He stays on line throughout his delivery, his hips and shoulders are open at footstrike. He falls off a bit after release. Fyvie’s fastball sat 72-74 mph, touching 75 mph, with good late run. He threw a slider with gradual 2/8 break that ran 62-65 mph. Fyvie threw his fading change-up with full armspeed and it sat 67-70 mph. Generally, he commanded all of his pitches very well. 7/31/14:  6-foot-0 tall and is bit on the lanky side. He has extremely long arms that make his low three-quarters arm slot really hard on lefties. He will occasionally drop down to submarine, but looks more smooth up top. He has a long, loose arm action and his shoulders are slightly closed at power position. His fastball sat 71-73 but he did muscle one up to 76. It has heavy run on it and he commanded the pitch very well. Fyvie threw a sweeping breaking ball that ran 59-63 that he left up in the zone a few times. He also threw an outstanding change-up with heavy fading action to it that ran 67-68.  In the OF, Fyvie utilizes his athleticism to cover ground and make good reads on balls.  Offensively, he stands tall from the right side and utilizes his lanky arms to drive through the baseball.  He has a consistent load and stride, which keeps him balanced throughout his swing.  Fyvie has a good swing path to the baseball and should become a gap power hitter with the incorporation of a better turn to the baseball and added strength.

7.14.15 Fyvie has a lanky frame and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a smooth drop and drive delivery. He has a long, loose arm action and a quick armstroke that generates easy velocity. His shoulders are level and closed as he strides out on line to a slightly open landing. He finishes in an athletic position with a slight recoil. Fyvie’s fastball sat 74-76, touching 77 a few times, with late sink. His curveball had big 2/8 break and ran 57-60. His changeup was thrown with full armspeed and sinking action, running 69-71. Fyvie nibbled a bit in his first inning of work, but did a good job of commanding all three pitches after that.
