5.22.16:  Pierce is 6’0, 185 and hits from a slightly open stance. He works in a balanced and athletic stance. He projects to be a level, line drive hitter. His swing is short to the ball, but strong with an exit velocity of 88. Pierce throws from a short over the top arm action. He falls off slightly when the throws but his throws showed good life and carry. He is a quick, athletic kid and that showed in his transfer and footwork.

7.14.15 Hit from an athletic stance that was wide and slightly crouched.  Hands positioned high.  No load back with arm bar.  Slight leg kick stride that stays on line.  Drifts to front side making back side collapse.  Maintained balance throughout swing.  Quick hands that had a bat exit velocity of 83 MPH.  Swing path was level through the zone.  Line drive hitter.  Rhythm was fast and stiff.  In the field, threw from a short, high ¾ arm slot.  Throws had accuracy.  Average arm strength with a positional velocity of 79 MPH.  Average hands with footwork that was quick and clean.  Showed some athleticism and quickness with his footwork.  Played through the ball.

6.24.15 Hit from an athletic, balanced stance.  No load back with a slight leg kick stride that dives forward.  Stride stays on line.  Slight arm bar.  Maintains balance throughout swing.  Swing path stays level and tends to pull off ball at times.  Bat exit velocity of 78 mph.  Line drive hitter.  In the outfield, throws from a high ¾ arm slot that is short.  Throws had some accuracy.  Positional velocity of 77 mph.  Showed signs of some athleticism.  Adding fluidity to his footwork with his athleticism should increase his outfield skills.
