VA/DC Last Chance Open
Kaczmarek is 5-11 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, no load. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and very quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, some whip to his bat, some strength at contact point and extension through the ball, showed a pull approach with natural loft to his swing and some power to his pull side, exit velocity was 90. In the infield, good feet, rounds the ball and fields with a good wide base soft hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 84. Ran a 7.01 60 yard dash.
Athletic frame for the 5-foot-9, 134-pound infielder. One of the better infielders on the day. Works outside the ball, soft hands, and moves through the ball at catch. Clean hand break from center, short arm action, and has the ability to throw from multiple arm slots with accuracy. Infield velocity was 77 mph. Athletic open stance at the plate, small leg lift to striding closed, and hands load high and tight. Displayed some pull side tendency to a swing that had a distinct uphill path. Exit velocity was 77 mph. Home to 1st time was 4.21. Has the potential to be a really nice player up the middle of the infield.
