Carroll is 6-0 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, showed a good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 77. In the infield, gets behind the ball and fields with a wider base and average hands, clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 73. Ran a 7.32 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, very short loose quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and on line, lands slightly closed with an athletic finish and some recoil. Fastball was 78-80, with some downward angle and heavy boring action armside run. Curveball had good armspeed and was 66-69 with late sharp 12/6 break to it, has a chance to tighten into a real good pitch.
