Ewald has an athletic frame and throws from a three-quarters arm slot. Threw in relief in this game, fastball was 82-85 with some plane and some run. Showed one or two curveballs that had 11/5 break and some armspeed, was up in the zone and at-bats were either quick or he was behind, so threw primarily fastball. Pitches looked like they work well together when he is ahead in counts or fastball is more down. At the plate, line drive hitter, uses the whole field, some gap power potential, but most likely way to contribute at college is on the mound.

Ewald has an athletic frame and some projection left as well. On the infield, very raw fielder, but throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with some looseness and whip to his arm action. Ball had some carry on a few throws. Did not pitch in this game but worth the return trip to see him pitch.
