TPG East

Horn is 6-3 with a lankier athletic 188 pound frame that has some strength present and a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a taller relaxed balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, uphill swing path with strength at contact and some extension through the ball, showed a good approach using the whole field, shows some power to all fields with potential to add more as he fills out, exit velocity was 94. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, long loose quick arm action, position velocity was 86. Ran a 6.83 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short loose very quick arm action and higher effort to his delivery. Some drop and drive and crossfire to his delivery, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with a fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 81-85, touching 86, with downward angle to it and a bit of late armside run. Curveball was 64-66 with some armspeed and big sharp 1/7 break to it. Change-up was 76-77 with good armspeed and some late sink to it.

Horn is 6-2 with a lanky athletic frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from a taller leaned back open athletic stance, leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap, has some rhythm. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, uphill swing path with strength at contact and extension through the ball, some whip in his bat, showed a pull approach with some power present and potential to add more, exit velocity was 93. In the infield, gets behind the ball and fields with average hands and a wider base, works through ball to a clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 77. Ran a 7.41 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short quick arm action that is free and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands open with a hard fall off finish. Fastball was 75-80, with some late sink to it. Curveball had some armspeed and was 60-64 with gradual 1/7 break to it and some shape. Change-up had some armspeed and was 66-70 with heavy run.

In the infield, gets behind the ball and fields with a wider base and average hands, works through ball to a clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 77. Ran a 7.38 60 yard dash.

Positional Profile: LHP
Body: 6-foot-2, 168-pounds. Long and projectable with room to add more. As gets stronger and fills frame, should see numbers increase.
Hit: LHH.  Open set up with high hands. Leg kick knee in load to stride that squares up body in hitting position. Level path at the plate with uphill finish looking to drive ball. Barrel quick in zone.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity from the tee. Strength to the pull side with some whip in barrel. Spins off ball at times
Arm: LH.   OF - 80 mph. Shorter arm action from high three quarter slot. Arm is quick, body could get more momentum to increase velo eventually.
Defense: Active feet that works thru ball well. Gains average momentum toward the infield.
Run: 4.39 timed home-to-first

Long projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 155-pounds. Slightly upright open stance, front foot glides to stride finishing slightly open, and hands load back to an arm bar. Swing was short to the ball, barrel stayed inside, and used the middle and backside of the field well. Flashed some gap to gap ability and the power should continue to improve as he adds strength to his frame. Exit velocity was 82 mph.
