Mears looks like a linebacker with his big, physical build. During pregame, he showed an average arm from right field. He remains raw, but his strength is unquestioned. He was 0-for-3 on the night, getting caught out front on a flyout in his first at-bat. He grounded out in his next at-bat, getting down the line in about 4.3-4.4 seconds. He was intentionally walked in his third at-bat and struck out looking in his fourth. 

8/2018 - Big, physical outfielder at 6-foot-2, 238 pounds. Shows an average to above average arm from the outfield. Has an arm bar at the plate and a raw swing, but the ball can jump off his barrel. Above average raw power.
