6/4/15 - Uncommitted senior. 6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed pitcher, average frame. Showed the ability to repeat his delivery, works with some effort and slight recoil finish. High ¾ arm slot, worked downhill. Showed control of his fastball, 83-85 mph, touched 86 mph, relied heavily on fastball and mostly to his glove side, held velocity in stretch. Flashed occasional curveball at 63 mph. Fast arm that works and showed a competiveness on the mound, should be a college prospect, will need to develop breaking ball.
3/16/14 - 6-foot-1, 190-pound catcher, solid build, shows strength. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, short stride, good balance through contact. Bat speed present, short path, gets extension through the baseball, slight pull side approach. 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively plays with a short over the top arm slot from the crouch, creates carry, 2.10-2.18 pop times.
6/26/13 - Alex Marro is a lanky, athletic catcher who showed ability in all facets. He legged out one of the top home-to-first times at 4.22. Marro's transfer on throws to second were long but threw 80 mph from the crouch recording pop-times ranging 2.1-2.18. He's a gap-to-gap hitter with bat speed, hitting from a balanced setup and short stride. He utilizes his lower half and maintains balance throughout his swing. Marro's 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame has a high ceiling and his athleticism and arm strength could easily translate to multiple positions.
