True Freshman. 6-foot-3, 205-pounds. Athletic mover down the mound, coils into a high balance point before striding out, remaining in-line to the plate with a slightly closed landing foot. Arm plays short out of the glove into a high ¾ slot. His fastball sat 86-87 mph and set up a downer 12/6 curveball at 68-71 mph, kept mostly down. His final offering was a straight changeup at 79-80 mph.
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-2, 180-pounds.
Delivery: Stretch only delivery, tall and fall type, lands square, quiet front side.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action, clean out of over the top slot.
FB: T86, 84-85 mph. Plays mostly straight with backspin.
CB: 68-69 mph. 11/5 shape.
CH: 82-82 mph.
Positional Profile: OF A sophomore right-hander to know in the state's 2022 class.
Body: 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. Lean, athletic frame with strength; projects well.
Delivery: Tall start working off left edge of the rubber; big side side into high knee kick with shoulders closed, slight hip turn. Shoulders stay closed to closed landing, finishes athletically; some effort involved throughout.
Arm Action: RH. Short, quick, loose arm action from high 3/4 slot; natural arm strength.
FB: T85, 83-84 mph. Jump from hand, carry through the zone; hard and heavy feel with arm-side run.
CB: 69-72 mph. Tight spin working off a 12/6 plane. Flashed late action thrown at arm speed, under the zone.
CH: 79-82 mph. Firm, at arm speed; slight fade. Feel to locate.
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. Lean athletic frame, projects.
Delivery: Slight tilt and topple type delivery, works exclusively from the stretch, works directional and stays closed, some deception.
Arm Action: RH. Short loose arm action, over the top slot, hides it.
FB: T80, 78-70 mph. Slight sink action, works downhill, occasional tilt.
CB: 64-67 mph. 12/6 shape, gradual action, dropped for strikes.
Cooper has an athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pound build. On the mound, pitches out of a ¾ slot. Clean delivery with a fluid arm motion throughout. Works downhill. Tossed three shutout innings allowing one hit in relief for STiKS. He struck out six in this appearance. FB runs with arm-side action at 78-80 mph; has been up to 82 mph earlier this year at West Milwaukee Preseason ID. Cooper took the mound again in the STiKS Championship Game on Sunday where he reached back for a tick better on the fastball, topping at 83 mph. Cooper continues to show improvement in his repeatability and feel for the zone.
6-foot-1, 175-pound right handed pitcher who came in relief during his team’s matchup against Hitters Navy. Pitched two innings, giving up no runs and striking out two. Athletic frame with an over the top, short delivery. Finishes his delivery by landing with his front foot square. Fastball played straight and sat between 78-81 mph, topped at 82 mph. Curveball showed 12/6 shape and was 64-66 mph.
6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed pitcher, projectable frame, proportional, sloped shoulders. Tall and fall delivery, balanced at the top, lands square, slightly across his body. Arm action is short on backside, over the top slot. Fastball plays with tilt, mostly straight and at the bottom of the zone, 81-82 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 61-65 mph. Changeup is firm, ranged 77-79 mph, worked to glove side.
8.5.18 (Junior Future Games) - 6-foot-1, 160-pound, right-handed pitcher, long-limbed frame. On the mound, tilt and topple delivery, up/down/out, heel lift balance point, gets downhill, cross-bodied style, athleticism in finish. Short, loose arm action, clean, high ¾ slot, easy effort. In-game, fastball had tilt down with occasional hard 2-seam run, 77-79 mph. Curveball, gradual 11/5 break, 62 mph.
3.20.18 - 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed pitcher, lean frame will fill out. Stretch only delivery, tall and fall, works slightly across his body, closed landing, shoulders stay level. Easy effort from high ¾ slot, well above average arm strength at his age. Fastball showed live action, sinks hard at times 78-79 mph. Slider has 11/5 shape, big sweeping action with feel, control for strikes, 62-65 mph. Changeup sinks, slight deceleration, 64-69 mph.
