Bestul’s summer teammate, Leedle looks like a similarly promising prospect. Leedle is one of the top righties in Wisconsin’s ‘21 class who’s not yet committed. Another smaller stature, Leedle surprises with his live arm and fastball that jumps from the hand with upper-80s velocity, and with relative ease. In his outing Saturday night the curveball wasn’t as sharp as the PBR Wisconsin staff has seen in the past, and the changeup was the more effective offspeed. But when he’s on, Leedle has three pitches in a lean, athletic build.
Positional Profile: RHP/SS; A premium uncommitted junior to know in-state.
Body: 5-foot-10, 165-pounds. Athletic, lean frame. Wiry strength throughout build.
Delivery: Square/staggered start, simple side step to level knee, athletic balance point. Shoulders go uphill at separation, leg swings out to squared landing, toe pointed to target. Low effort with athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Efficient, compact arm action, long, live, loose; high 3/4 slot.
FB: T89, 87-88 mph. Carry and finish in the zone, jumps; straight. Showed an ability to spot it.
CB: 73-75 mph. Tight spin; 11/5 shape with sharp action, some late bite.
CH: 80-81 mph. Firm, thrown at arm speed; some arm-side action, run/fade.

Fastball played with arm-side run, showed feel for the zone, 84-85 mph out of the windup, 80-82 out of a slide step stretch. Curveball has 11/5 shape, flashed sharp action, 67-68 mph. Changeup thrown with fastball arm speed, has arm side action, 72-76 mph. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, short stride, average balance. 67 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm worked short and loose across the diamond, high ¾ slot. Aggressive actions to the baseball, clean exchange. 7.43 runner in the 60.
