4/25/22

Heading into the 2022 spring season most teams had Baldwin as a likely Day Three pick. He has risen throughout the season and is now ranked at No. 105 in our Top 150 Prospects that was released earlier this month. The 6-foot, 220-pounder has a well-rounded toolset with average arm strength and raw power. He also has a chance to hit for average, while producing 10-12 home runs per season. The only question mark is his receiving. Some say yes, others do not believe he can stick behind the plate. For the season the left handed hitter is slashing .348/.449/.556 with six home runs and 33 RBI. Even more importantly his K rate is just 13.1%, walking 21 times against 22 strikeouts in 167 plate appearances. He has also thrown out 6 of 31 (19%) base stealers this spring.
