Busson swung a violent, tight swing arc with 74 mph barrel speed. His backside delivered the barrel, and he struck consistent line drives to all fields with exits as high as 95.2 mph traveling 350 feet. Busson is also a strong-armed infield defender who topped at 86 mph across the diamond. At our Western Wisconsin Open, Busson showed impressive arm strength for his age across the diamond, as the 6-foot, 180-pound incoming junior fired an 85 mph strike in his workout, the hardest throw on the dirt of the day. Busson was arguably the day’s top pound-for-pound performer, after taking an impressive round of batting practice, averaging the day’s hardest contact, slugging a couple balls over the Carson Park fence – and he reached a 92 mph max exit speed on one of those homers as well.
