Listed at 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, Klug has an obvious ceiling. He’s added big velocity in between looks, and touched a 90 mph high twice on Sunday. The fastball jumps down a steep angle to home, making the pitch project to earn swings and misses at the top of the zone on its own. He’ll still need to continue to sharpen his offspeed mix, but regardless, this was a nice look at a rising junior to know in this class.
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-5, 225-pounds. High waist, sturdy/strong lower half; long levers.
Delivery: Slow tempo rock to balance point, shoulders are level, slightly closed down mound, drops and drives smoothly and in control. Lands square to target, toe closed, arm is in a stable position at plant, finishes athletically, square to home, with low effort involved.
Arm Action: RH. Efficient arm action to high 3/4 release; clean, simple path to release. Loose, quick arm speed.
FB: T90, 87-90 mph. Easy, four-seam type, with above-average life and carry through the zone generated by an average spin rate of 2,239 rpm. Max IVB measured at 20 inches.
SL: 69-73 mph. Short 11/5 action, decels arm speed.
CH: 73-75 mph. Deceleration in lower half that reduces deception from hand; arm-side action/fade.
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-4, 190-pounds. High waist, lanky levers.
Delivery: Squared, even start from the center of the rubber. Slow tempo rock to balance point, shoulders are level, slightly closed down mound. Big flexion in upper half and torso at landing, finishes in control.
Arm Action: . Efficient arm action to over-the-top release; loose, quick.

CB: 60-64 mph. 11/5 shape. Decelerates arm action.
CH: 66-68 mph. Best secondary pitch. Showed arm-side run. Feel for pitch, strikes.
Hit: RHH. Balanced stance, short to tap stride. Gets to front side to attack the baseball, uphill plane.
Power: 79 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 81 mph. Shorter arm circle to high 3/4 slot; above-average arm strength.
Defense: Fluid, controlled feet; slow on approach but defends in some rhythm.
Run: 7.31 runner in the 60.

6-foot-2, 150-pound, right-handed hitting/throwing two-way player, lanky frame. At the plate, balanced, wide setup, short stride, minimal load. Short, uphill bat path, can get long, flashed line drive ability with opposite field tendencies. Flashed hard contact, exit velocity topped 72 mph from a tee. Behind the plate, steady hands, quick, short arm, high ¾ slot. Throws topped 65 mph from the crouch. Pop times ranged 2.57-2.69. 8.06 runner in the 60. On the mound, tall and fall delivery, sturdy balance, works in line, some upright at finish. Long arm action, high ¾ slot, easy effort involved. Fastball worked straight, some run, 68-69 mph. Curveball had depth, 11/5 shape, 55-56 mph. Changeup played 63-64 mph.
