4/26/15 - 6-foot, 185-pound, right-handed hitting shortstop with an athletic frame. Currently ranked no. 2 in the Wisconsin class of 2015, no. 151 in the PBR overall coverage area. Committed to Illinois State. Sure handed shortstop with soft hands, quick release, and athletic actions. At the plate hits form a balanced, relaxed setup with looseness in the hands and a level swing path. Good plate coverage, looks to work up the middle away. Solid all around player.

2/1/15 - Owen Miller (Ozaukee) was one of the bright spots representing Wisconsin at the Super 60, no overwhelming tools but did everything well above average, showed confidence and reliability in his game. Athletic frame with room to fill out, 6-foot, 185-pound infielder. Offensively hits with a balanced approach, short stride, excellent balance through contact. Repeatable swing, works the middle of the field, sees the ball well, good barrel control, showed a consistent ability to square the ball up, line drive spray hitter, quiet approach with hard contact. 86 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed soft hands, consistently plays through the baseball, moved well laterally, knack for putting himself in good position to field the baseball, 6.92 runner in the 60. Arm action is short, over the top slot, highly accurate, plays well across the diamond with carry, 84 mph across the diamond. Miller doesn’t have a plus pro tool and might not “wow” the pro scouting community, but there is no doubt Miller should be a four year impact player at Illinois State.

2/9/14 - Illinois State commit. 6-foot, 175-pound versatile infielder, athletic build. Excellent offensive setup, smooth loading action, short stride. Excellent barrel awareness, high contact hitter, short path, line drive middle of the field approach. Hands work well, advanced approach, well above average bat speed, 92 mph exit velocity. Defensively has natural infield actions, excellent athleticism and body control. Hands are soft and plays through the baseball. Arm action is loose, high ¾ arm slot, highly accurate arm, arm plays well from the left side of the infield, 83 mph arm strength across the diamond. Excellent feet, 4.01 runner home to first. Miller is one of the top infielders in the state.

8/4/13 - Miller is one of the more versatile and reliable infielders in the state. At 6-foot, 165-pounds he shows steady hands and a highly accurate arm. His arm strength is well above average at 82 mph across the infield. He is one of the more sure handed infielders in the state. He makes the routine play with ease and is one of the more consistent players around. With Miller you can always expect consistent play. His steady demeanor and focus play a big role in his success and is suited well for the game of baseball. Miller showed the ability to play all three infield position with natural instincts.

1/27/13 - Athletic build, 5-foot-11, 160-pound shortstop. One of the premier shortstops in his class, elite level shortstop in the region. Miller shows plus hands defensively, his athleticism shows extremely well at shortstop, plus actions, soft hands defensively, soft on the backhand. Foot work is quick and fluid, exchange is efficient and clean. Offensively hits from a balanced setup, smooth load, short stride. Lower half is active, works well, timing is good, balance is excellent. Bat path is short and quick, line drive approach, easy swing, shows athleticism, lacks some extension. Miller could project as one of the top shortstops in the region, his athleticism and hands will play at a high level as he moves on.
