Reichert a 6-foot, 175 pound athlete who ran a 6.97 seconds 60 yard dash to start out his day at the showcase. He creates tons of leverage in his swing with his move to the hitting position and showed the ability to drive balls to the gaps. What was most impressive about his day was the outfield defense and the 92 mph bullets he unleashed during the outfield portion of the event. Reichert is the type of toolsy player our staff will keep a very close eye on this spring and summer.
Positional Profile: OF/C
Body: 6-0, 175-pounds. Athletic, strong with projection.
Hit: RHH. Wider base, slightly open. Gathers back into back side, lands centered, creates a ton of leverage, hammers balls to both gaps, bat speed and strength.
Power: 87 max exit velocity, averaged 80.8 mph. 288’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 92 mph. Long, loose arm, high 3/4.
Defense: One-hand gather in stride, works towards home on throws, slight crow hop.
Run: 6.97 runner in the 60.
Reichert stands 6-foot, 175 pounds with some room to add strength and mass to an athletic frame. Reichert displayed quick-twitch and burst with the best 60-yard dash time of the day, clocked at 7.15 seconds. He also showed well in batting practice off a short, direct bat path created by quick hands as he sprayed line drives to all fields. He was just outside the event’s top-10 in max exit velocity (88.8 mph). Finally, Reichert showcased a strong arm from the outfield with a velocity of 88 mph to home.
