Hoerner presents himself as a 5-foot-10, 170 pounds from his position behind the dish. Continued to keep consistent numbers from his Green Bay Preseason ID back in the spring, as his pop times and BP statistics were similar during the showcase day of the Future Games. Pop times ranged from 2.17-2.26 seconds, topping out at 73 mph. As a hitter, Hoerner brings a whippy barrel form the left side of the plate, and shows the ability to elevate the baseball. Exit velocity maxed out at 88 mph, his highest in his career. Tools translated to gameplay on Thursday, as Hoerner was named the MVP after going 2-for-3 with a double and an inside-the-park home run.

Inside the left-handed batter’s box, Hoerner brought with him a calm and mature presence throughout his round of BP. He stayed tall throughout his swing and was direct to the ball, using the middle of the field with his swing direction. Hoerner is a very advanced, mature player who projects well both athletically and physically. Defensively, Hoerner peaked at 76 mph from the pop with a clean release and some on-the-bag accuracy, clocking a 2.09 pop time on his quickest throw.
