8/10/14 Moffatt flashed pop times of 2.13-2.23 on throws of 67 mph from the crouch with little wasted movement in his throwing mechanics. He 5-foot-9, 190-pounder is a very intelligent prospect with a strong academic record and an advanced knowledge of the game. The right-handed hitter hits from a wide, square stance with no stride. Moffatt used a strong lower half to barrel the baseball consistently to all fields during batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. The uncommitted senior went 2-for-5 with a double during game action over two days.
