6/15/17 Hogan Carter, 2018 OF, Cabell Midland HS, initiates swing with lift and replace.  Hands are quick and Carter is able to cover whole plate.  There is tendency to lean back and create uphill bat plane.  Overall skill set is intriguing as despite having fielded ball top to bottom on occasion Carter showed considerable athleticism at 1B and ran 7.0 sixty while recording bat exit velocity of 84.

On the mound Carter flashed some arm quickness. Mecahanically stride leg step closed with associated crossfire and first base fall.  Arm speed is reduced on curve ball which on this day was not sharp but was commanded.  Velocity gains from 79 mph FB are likely with mechanical changes.
