vs Soledad - Uncommitted. Came in to close out final 2.1 innings. Young, large frame with wider shoulders and long limbs; lean build that has some growing strength and space to keep building frame. Hands stay at waist with large side-step moving to 1st base side of the rubber before aggressive leg swing with slight back turn as hands lift. Pushes down the hill with slight bend in back knee showing loose hips landing on bent front knee; transfer between back/front leg has times where he gets off balance and some over rotation that can be firmed up with strength and experience. Compact arm with arm getting to 2nd base out of glove before quickly turning to 3/4 release. FB 75-80 MPH working the velocity up during his 2nd two innings on the mound. Ball was around the plate on both sides, but will need to be more consistent in his release point to find continued success. CB 65-66 MPH with 12/6 shape showing overhand tumble down through the zone; flashes of pitch having good spin to project more shape and bite as he continues to grow. CHG used only in warmups with flash of arm-side run. Athletic on the mound with 2nd inning being only 3 pitches. Continues to pitch big innings for Breakers and has the body type that should make jumps with more strength/maturity. A 2022 to watch more.
