PBR Internship Program

The PBR internship provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to learn and enhance their skills in a variety of areas surrounding the game of baseball. Scouting is our forte, and while there are many opportunities to learn scouting and scouting terminology we also provide opportunities for social media and marketing, sports journalism, videography, operations and data/analytics while also receiving a platform in which interns can network with individuals from the professional scouting and college recruiting community. As a company wide initiative our internship program is designed to train the future of our business, it is our goal to invest time into young talent with the hopes of molding future hires at Prep Baseball Report.

 

Social Media/Marketing Intern

We are looking for a motivated individual to help with the coordination and execution of social media and email marketing campaigns. Desired candidate will work closely with current staff on a strategy for Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. The position will also design and execute email marketing campaigns using InFusionsoft software.

Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement a weekly social media marketing plan
+ Manage social media at select PBR Showcases and Tournaments
+ Design and execute various email marketing campaigns

Requirements:
+ Desire for a career in social media/marketing
+ Strong writing and compositional skills
+ Ability to work weekends
+ Ability to work independently in a virtual environment

Desired Qualifications
+ Previous experience in marketing or social media
+ Experience with Adobe Photoshop
+ General knowledge of baseball
+ Currently working towards a degree in business, marketing, or sports management

Baseball Journalist Assistant

We are seeking qualified journalism students. It is required that the candidates have strong writing and compositional skills, and ability to meet deadlines and a strong understanding of the game of baseball.

Responsibilities
+ Write feature stories to be posted on the site's web-site.
+ Write press releases providing details of events to be distributed to the local media.
+ Provide administrative assistance, including but not limited to data entry and web research.
+ Game and events coverage, composing recap stories.

Requirements
+ Strong writing skills
+ Prolific in Microsoft Word or Google Docs
+ General knowledge of baseball

+ Previous experience content creation
+ Experience meeting content deadlines

Video Intern

We are seeking qualified students in film and videography who look to further a career in digital media. Qualified candidates would be responsible for video of PBR showcase events, editing work and the creative initiative to produce promotional digital media.

+ Operate video cameras at showcase events
+ Take and edit pictures
+ Design and create promotion video

Requirements
+ General knowledge of video equipment
+ Ability to edit and create original content
+ Responsible for maintaining video equipment

+ General knowledge of baseball

Scout Apprenticeship

If you are looking to break into the scouting community and learn the ropes from one of our seasoned PBR scouts, than this internship is for you. Ideal candidates are looking to complete an internship and already have experience and working knowledge in the game of baseball. Apprentices will be groomed to ultimately be sent out on their own to scout games and showcases while learning to construct scouting reports and grade skill sets.

Responsibilities
+ Shadowing a PBR scout as you learn the intricacies of scouting.
+ Maintain a presentable appearance and attitude while representing PBR at events and tournaments
+ Learn to compose scouting reports from events and tournaments
+ Cover tournaments and produce reports
+ Learn to evaluate players at showcases

Requirements
+ Ability to work long hours, weekends and travel
+ Strong writing skills
+ Strong knowledge of the game of baseball

+ Previous playing or coaching experience
+ High level of work ethic

Tournament Operations

Prep Baseball Report is offering an opportunity for current college level students looking to gain real world experience in Baseball and Tournament Operations, which will benefit the students ability to gain hands-on experience in the sports industry.

Responsibilities
+ Manage tournament site efficiently to ensure successful operations of PBRT events
+ Handle all on-site communication with teams and Director of Site Operations and Personnel
+ On-site conflict resolutions
+ Oversee scoring and data collection

Requirements
+ Must be able to work long hours and weekends
+ Show up on time and maintain job responsibilities
+ Understand rules and regulations to the game of baseball and PBRT events
+ Be able to work through and solve technical issues associated with our scoring app and trackman databases
+ Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
+ Ability to adapt quickly and handle possible situations that could occur throughout the summer
