6-foot, 180-pound athletic, physical body frame. Offensively, hits from the right side, even, little wider than shoulder height, with more weight on the back side. Hands are set above the shoulders, he gets hands back into a good hitting position. Hands are loose and work freely through the zone. Uses a gap to gap approach, fluid one handed finish. Tee exit velocity was 82 mph, has life to his hands. Defensively, has good prep steps and gets around the ball well, working towards the target. Hands are soft work well with feet. Clocked at 78 mph across the diamond, shows good carry and life to ball. The slot is a bit higher, needs to stay through it all way through release. Off the mound, he has a simple delivery, hands start low and work up with leg kick. Separation is clean, stride is slightly across his body. The arm action is long on the backside, fastball was in the upper-70s, threw strikes to both sides. Changeup has plus feel and is his best pitch, he sells it with great arm speed. Curveball was at 66-67 mph, rotation had 11/5 break to it.

Second event for Andrew, had a solid showing. At the plate hits from a wide base, with a high elbow, uses a leg kick for timing and puts foot down. The swing is powerful, shows strong wrist and good bat speed. Shows some pull power, needs to stay in the middle more, has the potential to be a power bat. The tee exit velocity was 87 and on the dig to first was 4.24, ran hard. In the field has solid hands, fielded ball out front, got it into throwing position quick. The feet work well, prep steps and following his throw. The arm was 77 across the diamond with good carry, has good touch/feel getting it over there. Off the mound fastball was 78-79 with good bore to arm-side. The motion is simple, easy leg raise, hands set at chest high. The stride is a bit short and needs to strengthen the front side glove will help with direction. The curveball was 59-61, break was big, slider was 65-66 with later break to it. Changeup is a plus pitch, shows solid fade to arm-side and sells it well with entire body. The bat has a chance to play.

At 6-foot, 180 pounds, the frame is long and plenty of room to fill out.  The stance is balanced and even, the hands work, the path is level through the zone, with a good high finish.  The tee exit velocity was 87 and got down the line in 4.66.  At third base, showed good prep steps, fielded ball out front.  Footwork was solid, worked well with his hands.The flow and actions are good, the arm strength was 78, little stiff.  Off the mound, the fastball was in the high 70's.  The motion, has an easy leg lift, the stride is short and pulls/tucks  early.  The direction needs to get better. Stay on him, the bat has a chance down the road.
