A right -handed hitting catcher, who throws well from behind the plate. The setup behind the plate is relaxed, flexible, feet are wide, sits on the flats of his feet and is balanced throughout. The transfer is clean, could stay taller, wants to sit down during it. The arm action, real short and clean, with no hesitation on the backside. Clocked at 74 mph, shows good strength from the crouch position, has flight and carry to his throws, were on the proper side of the bag. Offensively, the stance is simple, it's slightly open, feet are wider than shoulder width. The hands are loose at shoulder height. The weight is even and transfers back with hands during the load, stays on the backside, and generates power with it. The swing is flat through the zone, has a middle to pull side approach. The hands and wrists have strength to them, creating a good exit velocity of 91 mph. Took two solid rounds of batting practice, and squared the baseball up in game play. Times down the line were 4.75, average runner at best for a catcher. Good follow, can throw behind the plate and has strength in the swing.
