5-foot-11, 180 pound, average athletic frame, shoulders are rounded, has room for added weight. A right-handed pitcher, simple, controlled delivery. The weight gets loaded up on the back side, stays over the rubber. The separation is on time, lead leg lands in line with home plate. The arm works out of a 3/4 to high ¾ slot, gets good extension and finishes out front. Looks to use the entire body to pitch the baseball. Pounded the baseball with three pitches for strikes. The fastball was clocked at 66-68 mph, with cut to it. Showed very good feel for the change up, clocked at 63-65 mph, works well off the fastball. The curveball was clocked at 59-61 mph, proper spin and shape to it. Times to the plate were at 1.37, looked to hold runners, worked quick between pitches. The backside has some collapse in gather position, could stay taller to create more downhill angle to plate.
Right-handed pitcher, 5-foot-10, 160-pounds. The delivery starts out of stretch position only. The front foot is closed off and he comes set like a standard bullpen reliever. The direction of his feet are good and the arm works. Sits on the back half as he starts his delivery causing him to pitch uphill. Staying tall and getting sink to the ball will help him as he grows. The slot is ¾ with an occasional drop of that, keep an eye that your elbow stays high enough, reducing injury. The fastball is 65-66 mph. The breaking pitch was big at 60 mph and the changeup sat at 58 mph.
