7/18/17

5-foot-9, 165-pound, average athletic frame, the arms are long, shoulders are sloped, has room to fill out and put weight on. A right-handed hitting corner infielder, who pitches as well. The top tool is his bat. At the plate, the stance is balanced, simple, feet are wide, hands are loose at shoulder height. The bat starts in a good position, wrists are cocked and loaded up. For timing, has a simple straight, short stride, hands could get back more with more separation to them. The swing path is level across his chest, with a high one handed swing, approach is more line drive. The tee exit velocity was 78 mph, had good swings in the game. Defensively, works off the bag well, footwork around bag is clean, showed to have soft hands when receiving throws. The approach is from the ground up, showed good feet in starting the double play. The arm action is shorter on the back side, crank like action to it, clocked at 72 mph across the diamond. Off the mound, the delivery is simple, works out of the set position the entire time. The arm action works out of a natural ¾ slot, it's a tick longer from the mound. The fastball was clocked at 70-72 mph, locates well to the glove side. The breaking ball, has a bigger break, thrown soft at 56-58 mph, could be thrown harder, will get break to start later. Projects for me more of a first baseman, showed to have a good baseball IQ.

Home-First: 4.9

Exit Velocity: 78 MPH

Arm Velocity: 72 MPH

3/6/17
5-foot-9, 165-pound, average athletic frame, shoulders are sloped, has plenty of room to fill out, especially the lower half. A right-handed pitcher who has simple, repeatable, effortless delivery. The hands start low, work up with his controlled, easy leg raise. The separation is on time, and lands inline with his target. The arm action is short and clean on the back side, works out of a ¾ slot, forces arm to slow down at end. The fastball was located down in the zone, clocked at 70-72 mph. The breaking ball has 11/7 break, clocked at 57-60 mph, could be thrown harder, don't slow arm down, this pitch wants to work, rotation is correct on it. The changeup has cut action to it, sells it well, uses his entire body, clocked at 62-64 mph, located it well at the knees. Times to the plate were at 1.65. A strike thrower, strength and a regimented throwing program will add in his development and velocity.

3-1-17

5-foot-9, 165-pound average athletic frame, is well proportioned throughout, has plenty of room to fill out. A right-handed hitter, the stance is spread out, slightly open, hands are loose and relaxed at shoulder height. For timing, showed a no stride approach, slight knee to knee buckle. The swing path is level across his chest, finishes with one hand above the shoulder. The approach is more of a line drive, middle of the field. The backside was used much more from the last event, energy and weight were transferred from the backside to front. Defensively, works from the ground up, fields the baseball out front, gains ground with feet, needs to keep momentum moving throughout. The arm action has average length, clean on the backside, works out of a natural ¾ slot, showed to have good touch, with average strength to it. The arm was clocked at 76 mph, with more in there, wants to slow arm down at finish. The double play feeds were on time, smooth, hands and feet worked well together. Strength is a must, competes at a high level.

Thirty-Yard Dash: 3.88

Exit Velocity: 73 mph

Arm Velocity: 76 mph

2-18-17

5-foot-8, 160-pound, average athletic frame, the hands and wrists have some strength to them. A right-handed hitter, the stance is even and slightly wider than shoulder width. The hands start even at shoulder height, uses a no stride approach and shifts weight back, could get some more separation with the hands to the body. The lower half is under control, the backside could get involved more with hip drive, once this gets involved will help with driving the ball a bit more. The swing is down to level, rolls the hands quick, the approach is more to the pull side. The finish is with two hands at shoulder height. Defensively, worked out at first base, feet work well around the bag. Moves well off the bag, gets inline to second base on throws, gains ground with feet throwing across the diamond. The arm action is short, has a crank like action to it, clocked at 68 mph across the diamond.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.56

Exit Velocity: 71 mph

Arm Velocity: 68 mph
