6-foot-2, 200 pounds, Salvatore is physically developing and has a projectable frame. Plenty of room to add upper body strength without sacrificing any athleticism. Transfer from glove to throw can be drawn out, needs to quicken the release. May end up in left field. His arm velocity was 73 mph. With the bat, Salvatore’s game is still developing. His tee exit velocity was 87 mph. Mostly a line drive hitter, he has the frame and build to cultivate consistent gap-to-gap power in the coming years as he fills out. The hands are low with an even path to the ball, finishing with one hand. The approach is to all fields, showing the ability to have power to the pull side in batting practice. As a pitcher, Salvatore relied on a fastball breaking ball mix without a changeup. The delivery is simple, worked out from the stretch position the entire time. The hands start low, work up in sync with his leg raise, the glove side is strong and stays inline for the most part. The arm action is slightly longer on the back, works freely with no hesitation. The fastball was 73-75 mph, showing action to the arm side, while the breaking ball was 62-64 mph. The command needs to become more consistent. The arm is fresh, hasn't pitched a ton, with work, should come together. Still early to tell which way he will go.
