5-foot-7, 130-pound, small thin athletic frame, has some fast twitch actions to him, has plenty of room to fill out and put on added mass. A switch hitting middle infielder, was a big surprise at this event, played and performed well on both sides of the field. Defensively, shows solid quick actions and movements moving to both sides. The prep steps are crisp and clean, fields the baseball out front, with little wasted movement in transfer, feet work well. The backhand play was made easy effort, as well as the flips in the double plays. The arm is an above average tool for his age and size, clocked at 80 mph, has plenty of carry and strength across the diamond, flight is good. The arm works out of a high ¾ slot, baseball comes out with ease. Offensively, is a switch hitter, both the stance and swing mirror each other. The feet are slightly wider than shoulder width, hands held at shoulder height, with bat tilted and loaded up in a good starting position. The hands and weight stay back, uses a small toe tap into a controlled stride. The swing is level to up, finishes with one had. The approach is more line drive from the right side, with more lift from the left. The tee exit velocity was 80 mph from the right and 79 mph from the left. Times down the line were below average at 4.81, look for that to improve with strength and reps. Good looking prospect, strength is a must, solid follow.
