6/20/17

6-foot-1, 160-pound, long, lengthy athletic frame, with loads of room to fill out. Extremely athletic, has a great bounce to his step, a deer runner, showed a solid kick down the line, clocked at 4.31. A left-handed hitter, feet are even, shoulder width apart. The hands are set at shoulder height, has some wrap and extended tilt to the bat. The wrists are cocked back, uses a small controlled leg kick for time, hands and weight stay back, steps slightly in on the stride foot. The swing path is down to level, and finishes with two hands. The swing is short to the ball, at times cuts across, could stay through it longer. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 76 mph. Took a good round of batting practice and had quality at bats in the game. Defensively, shows good feet, steps through hard and gains ground on throws from the outfield. The arm action has a shorter arm path on the backside, small jab on the back, works out of a ¾ slot, clocked at 73 mph. The backside lower half wants to collapse, potentially has more in the arm if he can stay stronger on the back leg. Good looking left-handed hitter, who runs above average.
