9/8/17

6-foot-3, 230-pound, wide, large, thick, athletic frame. The hands have strength to them, shows tremendous hand-eye coordination, moves very well for his size. Continues to impress, is a right-handed hitter, makes solid hard contact, doesn't swing and miss. At the plate, the stance is balanced, feet are even at shoulder width, hands are held at shoulder height. The lower half is under control, gains ground with stride foot, hands have separation, they get and stay back on foot strike. The swing is flat through the zone, gets through it and drives it to middle and pull side. In game performance was good, collected multiple hits, tee exit velocity is advanced at 96 mph, and ran a 4.75 from home to first. Defensively, moves extremely off and around the bag. The footwork is correct and fairly quick, works from the ground up with soft hands. The arm action is short, clean and crisp on the backside. The arm was clocked at 76 across the diamond. During game play got moved to third base, made all plays, moving very well to glove side. One of my favorites, someone is going to get a good one.

Home to First- 4.23

Exit Velocity-75 MPH

Arm Velocity-80 MPH

2/25/17

6-foot-3, 240-pound, huge, wide strong athletic frame, moves very well for a big kid. A right-handed hitter, with tremendous strength to him. The swing is short to the baseball, gets through it, squares up the baseball routinely. The stance is balanced, slightly open, hands are loose and work freely through the zone, finishes it with two hands at shoulder height. The approach is advanced, is gap to gap, shows to have above average power to the alleys, has plenty of juice to beat the outfielders. Defensively, the feet are very quick around the bag, moves well to both sides, double play starts are quick with smooth footwork around the bag and when receiving throws he is advanced. The hands are soft, transfer to throwing hand is quick. The arm action is short, quick with solid strength for a first baseman, clocked at 76 mph. Big time follow for me, looks to be a doubles machine at the next level, been coached and groomed at a high level, need to look past the physical appearance.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.6

Exit Velocity: 91 mph

Arm Velocity: 76 mph

8/18/16

6-foot-2, 240-pound, large physical frame, back and lower half are strong. Is very athletic for a big kid, runs ok, actions and movements are above average. Needs to get in better shape, once this happens, game will go to a completely different level. A right-handed hitter, who has above average strength in his hands and had a tee exit velocity of 92 mph. The stance is wide and even, hands are loose and work freely. The hands get back into a good hitting position, the swing is level to up, stays through it well and finishes with two hands. The tee exit velocity was 92 mph with serious pop in his hands. Time down the line was 4.90, moves well for a big kid. Defensively, works well around the bag, feet are good starting the double play, fields ball out front, works from the ground up. The arm action is short and quick, clocked at 75 mph across the diamond. Is a solid target to throw to at first. Continued conditioning will elevate his game, high follow for me.
