5-foot-8, 150-pound, strong athletic frame, hands, wrists and legs are strong. One of the better athletes at this workout, has some tools to work with. A right-handed hitter, with a good looking swing. The setup is good, feet are even and shoulder width apart, bat is flat on shoulder and is relaxed. The hands are loose and get back into a good hitting position, the stride is minimal and he is balanced when he makes contact. The tee exit velocity was 84 mph and time down the line was 4.56, plays the game faster than that. Collected a single in the game, needs to be able to see the spin a little better, but is only a freshman, has plenty of time to get better. Defensively, quick first steps to the ball, routes and angles are good. The arm action is slightly longer on the back and he was clocked at 79 mph. The footwork needs to be quicker and step through harder on transfer, easy fix with reps and practice. Big time follow for me, looks to be a good one.
