6-foot, 157-pound, lean, wiry strong athletic frame. A left-handed hitting middle infielder who worked off the mound as well. At the plate, feet start even, slightly wider than shoulder width, hands are super loose, relaxed, and athletic, set above the shoulders. For timing lower half is under control, small knee to knee leg raise. The swing is level to up, creates lift and loft, barrel stays in the zone a long time. The approach is from gap to gap, showing pop to the pull side. The tee exit velocity 86 mph and ran a 7.34 sixty-yard dash, track was slow. Defensively, arm was clocked at 76 mph, works out of a high ¾ slot. The hands are soft, fields out front and works from the ground up. Moves well, with little effort, quick first steps going to the backhand side. The promove was performed correct with good touch and feel for the double play feeds. Off the mound, arm works out of a higher slot, its clean and longer on the back side. The front slightly comes off track, seems to get back in line on release of the baseball. Pounds the zone with a two pitch mix. The fastball reached 79 mph with bore action to it. The breaking ball has a bigger top to bottom, clocked at 64 mph. Projects out for me as more of a position player, look for the bat to play at the next level.

5-foot-11, 160-pound, Cipriano can easily bulk up and maintain requisite middle infield profile. Currently plays second base and may be able to stick there. With his current physical traits and likely growth considering his age, Cipriano might grow off of the position. Cipriano’s carrying tool is the bat and his athleticism would play in either corner outfield slot. The biggest question defensively is the arm, clocked at 73 mph across the diamond. Cipriano could easily tack on muscle to his frame as he has not started filling out, improving arm strength as a result (and power potential). A lefty batter, showed an ability to barrel balls with frequency during batting practice. More power should be on the way, and his high leg kick at the start of the swing helps lead the torqued up swing. He explodes through the zone, and the energy transfer from the swing is visible. Off the mound, a right-handed pitcher, hands start high and goes over his head, keeps weigh back, has some drop and drive to the delivery. The arm action is clean, works out of a high ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 73-76 mph, with the breaking ball clocked at 63-65 mph. The changeup has good feel and action to the arm side, clocked at 68-69 mph. Strength gains would only help Cipriano expand his defensive versatility with more velocity and in game power rounding out his tools package.

5-foot-11, 150-pound, wiry strong, athletic frame. The neck and arms are long, has room to add weight on. A left-handed hitter, has whip to his barrel and life in his hands. The stance is shorter and feet are inline. The hands start at shoulder height and are set closer to his body. The stride is straight and has length to it, has separation in the load. The swing is level to up, with the barrel having life out front. The approach is more to the pull side, took a solid round of BP. Finishes the swing with one hand at shoulder height, keeps the barrel in the zone, goes backwards on the finish at times. Off the mound, has a controlled delivery. The hands go over his head, separates on time, arm action is longer and fluid on the backside. The direction is inline and squares up on release. The fastball was clocked at 73-76 mph, with good sink and run to the arm side. The changeup is his best pitch, comes out of the same slot, has depth, clocked at 67-68 mph. Times to the plate were 1.5-1.6, could stay taller on the backside. Defensively, the feet move well to the ball, squares up, could field the ball out front more and feet continue to move through transfer to release. The arm action is clean and works out of a high ¾ slot, arm was clocked at 71 mph across the diamond. Time will tell, the changeup is an out pitch, arm is clean. The left-handed bat is intriguing.
