6-foot, 175-pound, average athletic frame, neck is long and shoulders are squared, should be pretty physical down the road. A two way-guy, I like him more off the mound. A right-handed pitcher, with a longer arm action, who creates whip and action to the arm side. The delivery is repeatable and simple. The arm is long and comes out of a high-¾ slot, pounds low in the zone for strikes. The direction is good, lead leg gets soft at times, head drops as well. The ability to stay firm on frontside will tighten everything up. The fastball was in the mid to high 70’s with more in the tank, with his slot 2 seamer should work well. The breaking ball acts more of a sweeping slider at 67 mph. Offensively, hits from the left side, the stance is even based, hands are set at shoulder height. The swing is level to up and has a middle to pull approach. The tee exit velocity was 85 mph, made solid contact consistently in BP. Time down the line was 4.6. Defensively, throws from a lower slot from third, clocked at 74 mph. The hands are soft, footwork needs to be quicker and one less step. Pro move mechanics were good, should be able to move to first without much trouble. Projects for me off the bump, I think there is more in arm and stuff is ok.
