8/18/16

5-foot-10, 185-pound, solid, thick durable pitchers frame. The back is wide, still has room to fill out. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher’s delivery is simple and repeats it without much effort. The arm has logged a good amount of innings this year between HS and summer ball. The arm action is clean with a longer path on the back side. The arm works out of a ¾ to low-¾ slot. The fastball was 78-82 mph, with good life and sink to arm side and was up a tick from previous workout. The breaking ball has some sweeping break to it, clocked at 70 mph the entire time. Did not throw changeup, however has one in his arsenal, which has good fade and action to arm side. I’ve had the opportunity to see him a few times this past year, this outing was very good, pounded the zone and made quick of the hitters. Projects for me as a backend bullpen guy, with more in his arm, should see the velocity climb at some point. Someone is going to get a good one.

5-foot-11, 185-pound, physical, strong frame, shoulders are sloped, back is wide and lower half is strong. A right-handed pitcher, who worked out of the set position the entire time. The arm works out of a natural ¾ slot, has heavy sink to the armside. The fastball was 79-81 mph with some action to it.The 2 seam fastball is better than the 4 seamer, better location with more consistency. The breaking ball was 68-70 mph with some late break, with some sweeping action to it. The changeup was 70-71 with fade and proper spin to the armside. Times to the plate were 1.33. Pitched extremely well for his high school team, logged some good innings and is pitching for Bristol American Legion this summer. Definite follow for me, with more in the tank.

11/15/15
A long and loose right-handed pitcher. Showed extremely well at this event, I like this one a ton. Worked out of a ¾ slot with tremendous arm side run. Pounded the fastball to both sides of the plate. Fastball was 79-81, with much more in the tank. The breaking ball showed good spin and good downward break, was thrown at  66-68. The changeup is a plus pitch, comes out of his hand looking like a fastball. The spin and fade to it are very good. Times to the plate were at 1.35, seems to have some knowledge of what he is doing on the mound. Projects out to be a three pitch pitcher, pounds the zone with strikes and likes to compete. The frame is an average build at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, has room to add some weight. Definite follow for me.
