12/12/15
A right-handed pitcher, who has logged a ton of innings this past year for his high school and legion teams. At 6-foot-1, 145-pounds the frame is young, long and has plenty of room to add weight. The delivery is simple, hands start at the midsection and raise just a bit as the lead leg comes up into the gather position. The lower half is in line with his target, the back leg drops slightly and loses some strength and power. The upper body slightly leans and pulls off at the end. The arm action is clean for the most part, drops out of his glove, goes down and then comes back up into the throwing position. The arm looked to be a bit tired, fastball velocity is usually a few ticks higher, he was in the high-60s. The curveball was 59-60 mph with some downward spin to it, changeup was 62-63 with cut action, looks to be a plus pitch, sold it well with mechanics. Filled up the strike zone with all three pitches. Works out of stretch position very quick, times were 1.03-1.10. Needs rest, proper strength and throwing program, the velocity should climb.

7/28/15
At 6-foot-1, 140 pounds, the frame is small and needs to add strength. On the mound he has an easy leg raise, hands are set high with high elbow in the set position. He does a good job staying back, lands on time, but pulls off and there is no finish. Fastball sat at 66-67, showed command to the arm side. Curveball was 64-65, wraps it early. Changeup was his best pitch 60-62, had proper depth to it. Showed the ability to throw strikes out of the set position, times to the plate were 1.35. Strength and adjustments to the finish position are a must.
