2017 Spring Scout Blog: The 6'6", 230 pound Purdue commit sat 85-87 with arm side run on the fastball. The big bodied junior threw a complete game shutout, allowing five singles, 1 walk, and striking out seven. Big downhill tilt, lived down in the zone for 5+ innings with the fastball. Regular effort down the mound with long, clean arm action. Worked very quick and repeated delivery with good rhythm and balance. Mixed the slider well, mostly a two pitch guy. Slider was thrown outer half of the plate at 78-79 for out pitch and thrown for a strike, middle of the plate at 76-77. Slider has fastball plane with late downward 10/4 bite to miss bats. Produced a lot of check swings and late swing attempts at pitch. Good feel and command. Changeup was firm at 75-76 with some cut action. Big body projects well at next level.

5/21/16: 6-foot-7 225 pounder  looked impressive in a 9-0 victory over Westfield Saturday morning. In the CG win, struck out 11 and walking none. Good pitcher's frame with a strong lower half. Throws from a 3/4 slot with above average arm speed. Good balance and regular effort. Delivery has rhythm and lands square. Fastball had arm side run at 81-83 in the first and sitting 81-83 in the 7th. Slider was 10/4 with late action and down at 74-75. Good projectability.

9/16/19:Originally at Purdue, the 6-foot-6, 225 pound long armer showed a four-pitch mix which was highlighted by above average command of his repertoire. Fastball ranged from 88-89 mph while spinning in the low 2000s. Mixed his changeup at 82-84 mph, a short tilted slider at 79 mph (2200+ rpm) and 11/5 curve at 75-76 (2050 rpm).
