2/23/13: 5-foot-11, 150 pound sophomore shows a long arm action and throws form a ¾ arm slot at 74 mph.  Possesses soft hands with fluid footwork.  Exchange is clean but a little slow.  Fields the ball deep.  At the plate starts open and wraps his bat during the load with a front arm bar.  Lacks use of the lower half.  Hits off back side.  Swing path is uphill and shows some bat speed. Produced an exit velo of 86 mph.

5-foot-11, 150 pound sophomore works in a clean good rhythmic delivery. Works from a ¾ arm action that creates run at 76-77. Arnett’s breaking ball breaks early and works down. Arm speed is good in both off speed pitches. The ¾ arm angle again allows Arnett to get run on his changeup at 68-69.


On the mound Arnett shows a loose arm from a low 3/4 arm slot.  His delivery is athletic and shows good velocity and projectability for an incoming sophomore.  He tends to fall off to the first base side, but once he develops a straight line look for his off speed to develop quickly.  He's a high follow in the 2015 class. Arnett shows a loose arm that projects to add velocity as he matures.  In the field he shows the ability to field well, but needs to improve on his mechanics.
