Pitching: Slender build at 5-foot-9, 155 pounds. Hampton has had tremendous success on the mound in high school. He showed why. Hampton has the ability to work down in the zone and mix speeds. While velocity is at 80-81 he does get good arm side run on his fastball. Also Hampton throws a good sharp breaking ball at 65-68.
Hampton is a 5’9, 155 pound third baseman. In the field he showed good arm strength across the diamond (78) with carry on his throws. At the plate Hampton was one of the better hitters at the event. He showed an athletic swing that was aggressive. With physical maturity Tanner projects to hit with some power.
