1/16/17 - 60 Time: 7.25, Position Velocity: C-79, Pop Time: 1.92-2.00, Exit Velocity: 96
5-foot-11, 190-pound RHH, Starts in an athletic, open setup at the plate. Lower half works well. Hands are rhythmic and create excellent barrel whip through the zone. A strong kid with a fast bat. Showed gap to gap pop in batting practice. Middle of the order type guy. Behind the plate he showed athletic, mechanically sound footwork. Exchange skills are there. Impressive arm strength and accuracy.

6/15/16 - 60 Time: 7.03, Pop Time: 1.92-2.00, Position Velocity:  C-78, Exit Velocity: 92
At 5-foot-11, 190-pounds, Lovell is an athletic presence behind the plate. He flashed good speed and shows active feet with a quick release to produce consistent sub-2.0 pop times on 78 mph arm strength. The right-handed hitter hits from a balanced stance and loads back with a toe tap and short stride,  shows good bat speed and the ball jumps off his barrel as he displayed good gap to gap power. He went 1-for-3 in game play with a single to right field. The 2018 catching class is deep, and Lovell is one of the guys who adds to it.
8/4/15 - 5-foot-11, 170-pound right handed hitter hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, line drive type hitter shows flashes of gap to gap power, generates good bat speed for age with some quickness in hands, 90 mph exit velocity off the tee, ran a solid 7.04 60-yard dash. Defensviely, shows a solid transfer and release, gains ground on throws and footwork stays mostly online, 73 mph velocity with 2.00-2.12 pop times and some accurate throws to the bag (showed 75 mph velocity with 1.92-1.98 pop times at previous event).
7/23/14 - 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect showed good speed for age running a 7.06 60-yard dash and showed well above average bat speed for age with 88 mph tee exit velocity.  Hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, line drive type hitter who may develop power as he continues to mature, went 1-for-3 in game play with a line drive single to center.  Defensively, shows a quick transfer and release, good arm strength for young prospect at 75 mph from the crouch, pop times ranged from 1.92-1.98 with some accurate throws on the bag, definite high follow in 2018 class.
